Silence, prayer, listening

15 January 2010 View Comments

Today I am not going to post a normal blog post. I have three in queue to post but I just feel like perhaps today is a day for silence, prayer, and listening.

Perhaps it is the mourning for the thousands lost and suffering in Haiti, perhaps its feeling as though I’ve created enough online noise for the week with my campaign and posting about campaign on the social web. I’m not quite sure but I just get a sense that today is to be reserved for silence, prayer, listening and perhaps fasting.

I hope you will join me in quiet solidarity asking for God’s blessings on all those affected by this tragedy, for his grace to be poured out like perfumed oil on everyone there. That the aid workers and countless thousands who are rushing to help would be supported and guided by a legion of angels.

When tragedy happens it’s first effect is to call us to prayer and so today rather then write, I will pray, fast, and listen.

I hope you will join me.

In Christ,

Chris Faddis
