Fast for Haiti – Let’s raise $5000 for Haiti

The earthquake in Haiti has completely devastated the people of that country. We are all moved with compassion for the victims.

I don’t have much to give but I do have a good reach through hundreds of friends online and through this website. So I felt like we should do something to help those in need after the earthquake in Haiti. I set up a cause to raise $5,000 for the relief efforts in Haiti. The funds will go to Catholic Relief Services – one of the largest and most well run relief agencies in the world. They are already on the ground and mobilizing more resources to help the victims of this tragic quake. If you would like to help the cause you can join, spread the word, and donate by going here.

It get’s better – a newfound friend on Facebook gave me an idea. What if we called for a fast? Great idea. So here’s the deal. We’re calling for Catholics to Fast for Haiti by picking a day in the next week, and fasting either one meal or all meals that day and then donate at least $5 per meal to Catholic Relief Services through our cause. The money goes directly to CRS and will be put to great use. Please help spread the word.
