I confess to almighty God and to you, my brothers and sisters, that I have sinned through my own fault, in my thoughts and in my words, in what I have done and in what I have failed to do; and I ask blessed Mary, ever virgin, all the angels and saints, and you my brothers and sisters, to pray for me to the Lord our God.

For my failure to trust in God – Lord have mercy.

For my failure to rely on God’s grace – Lord, have mercy.

For my failure to pray as I ought – Lord, have mercy.

For my exaggerated worry – Lord, have mercy.

For my inpatience with God’s will – Lord, have mercy.

For times I follow my own will – Lord, have mercy

For my self-doubt and insecurity – Lord, have mery.

For my cowardice in adversity – Lord, have mercy.

For times I serve my ego – Lord, have meryc.

Lord, I am not worthy of your love – and yet you love me. I am not capable of anything without your grace and love. Shine your mercy on me and save me from my weakness. I need you to take control, rescue me, show me the way.
